ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN

As part of your duties, you will work closely with the Senior Director of Finance and play an integral role in our organization’s success.

Burrowes Insurance Brokers, a rapidly growing family-owned business recognized as one of the industry’s leaders, is seeking an accounting technician to join our team in
Boucherville.

Your Day-to-Day

• • Perform various accounting tasks as assigned (including managing accounts payable, collecting payments, recording journal entries, and preparing reports)
  • Assist with payroll processing
  • Assist the Senior Director of Finance in preparing month-end and year-end financial statements

What would help

• • DEP/AEC, certificate, or several years of accounting experience
  • Three (3) years in a similar role
  • Knowledge of the full accounting cycle
  • Ability to prioritize and organize
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated integrity, discretion, and confidentiality
  • Good knowledge of the Windows environment and Microsoft Office software

A plus

• • Knowledge of payroll
  • Knowledge of the EPIC software
